Pointe Claire resides in a sleepy part of Montreal Island known as West Island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of communities. Her work gained most fame when she was offered the part as Rita in the award-winning television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian cast member during Season 1 of the series and only seen occasionally.
